Regal Pelargoniums (Macranta) are the “kings” of the geranium world: plants with an imperial and imposing habit, capable of filling large pots with spectacular displays. Their enormous, velvety blooms—reminiscent of azaleas—range from the vibrant hues of modern hybrids to the deep, intense “nocturnal tones” of more traditional varieties.

Despite a reputation for short blooming periods, Regals actually offer generous flowering for four to five months of the year. For our nursery, they represent a true “collection within a collection.” For years, we have sought out the historic varieties that once adorned the courtyards and “cistern heads” of ancient Sicilian homes, recovering extraordinary, often nameless colours to include in our catalogue.

In this section, alongside the majestic Regals, you will find Decorative Pelargoniums. Immensely popular in Victorian England, these specimens can be considered “miniature Regals”: they retain the same elegance and richness of flower, but in a more compact and delicate size.
