Native to China, Jasminum polyanthum is a vigorous evergreen climber renowned for its breathtaking spring display. In March, this plant produces an incredible profusion of flowers so dense they almost entirely conceal the foliage. Each cluster can hold as many as 40 to 50 blooms, which emerge from striking, deep pink buds to reveal pure white, five-petalled stars. Its fragrance is exceptionally powerful and can be enjoyed from a distance, filling the air with an intense floral scent. As a natural twining climber, its stems will readily wrap themselves around any available support, making it an ideal choice for covering large trellises, fences, or arches with ease.

For those seeking even deeper contrast, be sure to take a look at the ‘Rubrum’ variety, which features dark green foliage and intense dark red buds.
